This laid-back and kid-friendly brewpub
just steps from the pier serves its own
Mexican lagers, Irish dry stouts, rye beers,
and IPAs indoors and out. The menu fea-
tures pizza by the slice and pie alongside
cold and hot sandwiches, salads, and
starters for the whole family.
Bagby Beer Company
This standout local brewery, located
in a multilevel space in an old car
dealership on Coast Highway, can’t
seem to stop winning national
awards, a habit that owner Jeff Bagby
picked up as head brewer at another
beloved local brewery, Pizza Port.
Bagby’s brews are heavily influenced
by Old World classics, as evidenced
by their German-Style Dunkel Weisse,
Belgian-Style Blonde, and German-Style Altbier, among others.
O’side’s Craft Beer Scene
San Diego’s “Hops Highway”—the
rich assortment of breweries along
the 78 freeway—starts right here
before winding for 62 miles up to
Julian. Oceanside lays claim to ten
of its own breweries (with more
coming soon), the county’s first
meadery, and too many taprooms,
bars, and other terrific places to
sample local craft beer to name.
