Visitors of all ages will enjoy the live
performances held year-round. The
Brooks Theatre and Star Theatre host
a variety of productions for children
and adults. Every summer, Heritage
Park is brought to life with food vendors and live musical performances
for the Concerts in the Park series.
Local restaurants host weekly open
mic nights and welcome local talent to
play for adoring audiences.
What better way to celebrate the
community and the arts than to
participate in the Oceanside Art Walk,
held the first Friday of every month.
Additionally, the Oceanside Museum
of Art and local galleries, such as the
Muramid Museum and Art Center,
invite the community to learn and
explore with hands-on educational
classes, gallery openings, and artist
meet and greets. Ask questions and
interact with the artists to learn what
inspired their latest creations.
Walk along the same paths as the
original Spanish settlers when you
visit Mission San Luis Rey or explore
the original downtown buildings, like
the first general store, blacksmith
shop, or city jail, at Heritage Park.
Surf’s up, dude! Take a stroll through
the California Surf Museum to discover
the history of surfboards and the
local surf culture.
